A LETTER FROM THE FOUNDER

Hey—Derek here.

I’m not a theorist. I’m not a guru. I’m an operator who’s lived every side of the sales game.

Back in 2012, I was a broke trainer in New York City grinding seven days a week for $30K a year. No bonuses, no commissions—just exhaustion. That pain flipped a switch. I knew there had to be something better.

In 2013, I opened my own gym. I didn’t know much about business, but I knew how to work. Then in 2017, I put $12K on credit cards to join Alex Hormozi’s Gym Launch. That move changed everything.

First campaign: $300 in ads → $32,000 in sales in three weeks. It broke my old beliefs about what was possible. Within 18 months, my gym was pulling $50K–$70K months.

Not long after, Alex hired me. I started as a business coach, quickly took over the coaching department, and then moved into sales. At first? I bombed. Almost got cut. But I fought back, rebuilt my process, and ended up leading the sales team—selling multiple offers and generating millions. I was coached directly by Alex on how to lead, sell, and scale.

Then came the crash. I left for a “well-funded” role that folded. Overnight, I had no income, a mortgage, car payments, two kids—and bills piling up. My wife ran Instacart. I sold sports memorabilia and even our couch just to buy groceries. From multi-million-dollar business owner to broke and scrambling.

But here’s what saved me: I went back to doing what I knew best—fixing broken sales systems. I “secret shopped” a friend’s client, tore their process apart, rebuilt it, and doubled their show rate. That one project led to another… and another. Before I knew it, I had stumbled into what would become RapidSales.io.

In 2023, I made it official. I launched RapidSales.io with one mission: to give founders elite sales infrastructure—without the $200K+ price tag of a VP of Sales.

Since then, we’ve helped companies across coaching, SaaS, media buying, real estate, branding, financial education, day trading, and more. Industry leaders like Armin Shafee and Damien Watts have trusted us to build, manage, and scale their sales backends.
